May was the busiest month Skipper has seen. One hundred and sixty-four matches were played and scored ball by ball, from the white-ball tournament nights out at Vadamugam Vellode to weekend club games across Erode, Salem and Bengaluru. Somewhere in there a fourteen-year-old made a hundred, a bowler returned figures of five for three, and one captain walked off a winner seven times out of seven.
This is the month told through the people who made it. Six honours boards: the runs, the wickets, the catches, the wins, and the two quieter jobs that hold the whole thing together. Every number below comes straight from matches scored on Skipper in May. We left out test games and abandoned matches and kept the real cricket.

If May belonged to anyone, it belonged to Naveen. He hit 25 sixes across the month, more than anyone else, and scored his 240 runs at better than two a ball. When the fielding started he was just as busy, nine catches, two run-outs and a stumping, twelve dismissals in all. And every time he led Gaming Minds out, they won. Seven games, seven results, no losing afternoon. You do not see a month like that often.
Best batters
Karmegam led the run charts without ever making a hundred. He did it in instalments, eight innings, a top score of 76, 48 fours and 13 sixes along the way, and a strike rate of 173. Maghezhan, the DCAE opener who made the only big hundred of the Erode under-14 tournament, finished second on 329. Naveen's 240 came in a blur. Ruthanvik12 and Saravanan rounded out a top five separated by a single run.

Best bowlers
Mani Hughes took the most wickets, 16 of them across seven innings for Young India Sports Arena, with a best of five for 40. Behind him came the month's most economical destroyer. Chandru of Team KPS took 14 wickets at barely five an over and on one afternoon returned five for three, the spell of the month. Sathyajith went at 3.47 and G S Vibash bowled five maidens, the most of anyone in the top five.

Jack took everything that came his way for Gaming Minds, ten catches and four run-outs across ten matches, fourteen dismissals in all. Naveen was right behind him, more proof of the month he was having. Anish, keeping for DCAE, did his work the slow way, seven stumpings out of his eleven, the sharpest pair of gloves on the list.

Captaincy does not show up in a batting average, so we counted it on its own. Naveen's seven wins from seven was the best record of the month. Yaasi42 of Young India Sports Arena was not far off, six wins from seven. Dhanush led the most often, eight matches, and lost only one. Pugazh and Nattu kept perfect records over four games each.

Batters are ranked on runs, bowlers on wickets, fielders on catches, stumpings and run-outs, and captains on wins. We left test games, abandoned matches and fantasy fixtures out of it.
