CSK IPL 2026 Tickets: Chepauk Prices, Booking, and Match Schedule
Getting CSK tickets at Chepauk is a different experience from most other IPL venues. The stadium is smaller, the atmosphere is intense, and the fans treat every home match like a festival. It also has its own ticketing quirks that are worth knowing about before you try to book.
Here is what we have found from official CSK and District by Zomato sources about tickets for the rest of the 2026 season.
Where to Buy CSK Tickets
CSK tickets are sold through three official channels:
- Chennai Super Kings website: chennaisuperkings.com
- CSK app: Available on iOS and Android
- District by Zomato: district.in
These are the only official sources. CSK has been very clear that tickets bought from anywhere else are at the buyer's risk. Do not buy from resellers on social media.
Ticket Prices at Chepauk
MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chepauk) is one of the more affordable IPL venues. Here is the pricing we have confirmed:
| Stand | Base Price |
|---|---|
| C / D / E Lower | ₹2,000 |
| C / D / E Upper | ₹4,000 |
| Premium / Hospitality | Up to ₹8,000+ |
Important on taxes: These are base prices. CSK ticket prices include Entertainment Tax (25%), SGST (20%), and CGST (20%). On top of that, District by Zomato charges a booking fee of about 10-12% inclusive of GST. So the final amount you pay at checkout will be noticeably higher than the base price shown above.
Compared to other IPL venues, Chepauk is still reasonable. ₹2,000 for a lower stand seat is cheaper than most stadiums this season. The J Stand (the famous yellow sea behind the bowler's arm) pricing has not been separately published, but it tends to fall in the ₹2,000 to ₹4,000 range for general seating.
CSK IPL 2026 Home Schedule at Chepauk
| Date | Opponent | Time | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 11 Apr | vs Delhi Capitals | 7:30 PM | Played |
| 14 Apr | vs Kolkata Knight Riders | 7:30 PM | Played (Won by 32 runs) |
| 2 May | vs Mumbai Indians | 7:30 PM | Upcoming |
| 10 May | vs Lucknow Super Giants | 3:30 PM | Upcoming |
| 18 May | vs Sunrisers Hyderabad | 7:30 PM | Upcoming |
| 21 May | vs Gujarat Titans | 7:30 PM | Upcoming |
Four home matches are still to come. The MI match on May 2 is going to be the hardest to get tickets for. CSK vs MI at Chepauk is always one of the biggest matches of the season. The afternoon game against LSG on May 10 (3:30 PM start) might be slightly easier since weekday afternoon matches tend to have lower demand.
WSTL Early Access
CSK offers early access to ticket sales for WSTL (Whistle Podu Super Team League) subscribers. These members get a window to buy tickets before the general sale opens. For the first two home matches, WSTL subscribers got access a day ahead.
If you are serious about attending multiple CSK matches, the WSTL subscription is worth looking into. Check the CSK website or app for current membership details.
How Ticket Sales Work at CSK
CSK does not announce ticket sale dates far in advance. For the first home game against PBKS, sales opened on March 30 at 10:15 AM. For the DC and KKR matches, sales began on April 6 and April 7 at 12:15 PM.
The pattern is clear: tickets go on sale roughly a week before the match, with the exact time announced just a few days before. You need to stay alert. Follow CSK on social media and keep the app notifications on.
Tips for Buying CSK Tickets
Before the Sale
- Create accounts on both the CSK website and District by Zomato. Complete your profile and save payment details.
- Follow CSK on social media. Sale announcements come through their Instagram and X/Twitter first.
- Know which stand you want. The interactive stadium map on District takes time to navigate. If you have already decided on Stand C Lower or the J Stand, you can go straight there when tickets drop.
During the Sale
- Log in 10 minutes early and have the match page open.
- Use the app. It handles traffic better than the website during peak load.
- Have UPI or a saved card ready. The payment window is short.
- Do not refresh aggressively. If you are in a queue, let it work. Refreshing can push you to the back.
Offline Option
Chepauk is one of the few IPL venues that still offers offline ticket sales at the stadium box office and select locations across Chennai. These go on sale a few days before each match. Offline tickets can be slightly cheaper because internet handling fees do not apply. But queues are long and stock is very limited.
Where CSK Stand in IPL 2026
As of April 15, CSK are 8th on the points table with 2 wins from 5 matches. Ruturaj Gaikwad's side got off to a slow start but picked up their first win against Delhi and then beat KKR by 32 runs on April 14, posting 192 at Chepauk. The season is still wide open for them with nine matches left, but they will need to string together wins at home. That makes the remaining Chepauk fixtures even more important.
