Local cricket has always had its legends, the lad who never gets out on a Sunday, the seamer everyone ducks. What it has never had is a scoreboard for them. Leaderboards are Skipper's answer. They take the runs and wickets from real matches in your city and turn them into a ranking that refreshes every week and every month, with a vote at the end of it for the player who deserves the shout.

Where to Find Them

Tap the search icon on the home screen and open Leaderboard. The first time you visit, Skipper asks you to pick your city, because a leaderboard is only worth reading if everyone on it plays the same cricket you do. You can change the city any time by tapping its name at the top.

The Four Boards

Switch between them with the pills along the top:

• Bat, the leading run-scorers.
• Bowl, the leading wicket-takers.
• Keep, the busiest, sharpest wicket-keepers.
• Teams, ranked on overall strength rather than a single number.

This Week or This Month

Every board runs on two clocks. Weekly looks at the last seven days, Monthly at the last thirty. Use the arrows to step back through earlier weeks and months, and the This Week or This Month button to jump back to the live one. A weekly board rewards a hot streak. A monthly board rewards the player who keeps turning up.

Leaderboards Near You

A city board is good. A board for your own corner of it is better. Tap the scope button at the top, the one showing where the board is set, and you can zoom the ranking in and out:

• Overall, everyone on Skipper.
• India, the national board.
• Your state, picked from the list.
• Your district, the closest thing to a board for the cricket you actually play against.

The picker works in two steps. Open it and you see Overall, India, and the list of states. Tap a state and it opens into "all of" that state plus its districts, so getting down to your district is two taps. Drop back out to a wider scope whenever you want to see how you stack up against a bigger pool.

Skipper starts you on the scope that fits your profile, so the first board you see is already close to home. That depends on one thing: your city being set in your profile. With it set, you turn up on your state and district boards automatically. Without it, you can still read every board, but you will only appear on the Overall and India ones, and Skipper will nudge you to add your city so your local boards have you on them.

Voting for Player of the Month

When a voting window is open, a Vote Now button appears at the top of the board. Tap it and Skipper shows you the top five candidates for that board and window. Pick one, tap Vote, and that is your say cast.

• You get one vote per board, per window. A vote on the monthly batting board is separate from a vote on the monthly bowling board.
• Once you have voted, you see who you backed and the running tally, so you can watch the race as it tightens.
• Voting closes at a set time, shown on the board. After that the result stands.

It is a small thing, a tap, but it is how a good month stops being a private number and becomes something your cricketing town actually decides on.

Sharing a Poster

Long-press any row on a board and Skipper hands you a ready-made poster, the player or team's name, their numbers, and where they sit, laid out to look good on a group chat or a story. No screenshotting, no cropping. Tap, share, done.

How a Board Is Earned

Everything on a leaderboard comes from matches actually scored on Skipper, in your city, inside the window. There is a minimum amount of cricket before someone qualifies, so a single big knock against weak bowling does not vault a newcomer over a player who has performed all month. The idea is simple: the board should read the way the season actually went.

One thing worth knowing. Stats you import from another app sit on your profile as history, clearly marked, and they never feed the leaderboards. The boards are built only from cricket you have played here, so the ranking stays honest.
